Built on a Radio Zimbabwe voting system that served more than 20,000 listeners and processed over 3,000 votes a day at peak. AirVote is the evolution of the Radio Zimbabwe voting system, presented here as one continuing project.
02 / THE CHALLENGE
Make sense of listener votes.
Listener votes arrive with inconsistent formatting, misspelled artist names and unclear song titles. A broadcast team needs a way to validate those inputs and review uncertain matches without losing control of the results.
03 / THE SOLUTION
Bring the workflow together.
The original Radio Zimbabwe voting system automatically cleaned incoming votes, matched misspelled artist and song names, and prepared chart lists in real time. Uncertain matches could be reviewed by a person. AirVote is its second version, bringing that work into a Windows desktop experience backed by a centrally hosted system.
04 / WHAT WE BUILT
The details that make it useful.
Windows desktop application
WhatsApp and SMS ingestion workflows
Vote validation and intelligent song matching
Human review for uncertain matches
Automatic real-time chart preparation
Vote management, reporting and central data access
05 / TECHNOLOGIES
A practical foundation.

06 / THE OUTCOME
From idea to working product.
At peak, the original Radio Zimbabwe voting system processed more than 3,000 votes per day and served over 20,000 listeners. It cleaned votes and prepared chart lists automatically in real time. AirVote carries that workflow into a Windows desktop application. These figures describe the original Radio Zimbabwe deployment, not a separate benchmark of the desktop version.
